ミャンマー（ビルマ）の素材や着物の古布を使って暮らしのグッズを広島市内の店で製作しています。バック等のアクセサリを中心に、ミャンマーのカワイイ布のをいかした日本の生活に合う作品をおとどけします。また、マルチウエア・シルク・ドレス（ラップスカート、巻きスカートとも呼ばれる）も販売しています。

Tawara takes traditional Burmese and Japanese kimono fabrics and does not so traditional things to them. In a nice way.  Traditional materials, contemporary designs. Old becomes new. That kind of thing. The Burmese fabrics used are imported by us directly from Burma, chosen not only for the patterns on the fabric but also the feel. These are fabrics you want to have and to hold. The kimono fabrics are sourced from a speciality recycled kimono shop a short skip and a jump away.  Our staff spend a lot of time, perhaps too much, rummaging around stacks of folded kimono and obi so that you don’t have to. Although you might want to give it a go sometime, actually as it is rather fun.

Riffing on the old becomes (funky and fun) new theme, Tawara is also selling imported Multiwear Silk Dresses. Made from a blend of materials, including recycled Sari, each of these dresses are unique. Just like you. True. Just like your mum said.
